It’s True - Diet Sodas Make You Gain Weight
Here at True Citrus, we’ve already written about the 2005 University of Texas Health Science Center survey that found that a 41 percent increased risk of being overweight for every can of diet pop consumed per day.
Now it’s becoming even clearer that diet sodas cause weight gain!
A different UT Health Science Center study presented in 2011 found that the waistlines of people who drank diet sodas grew 70 percent more than those who didn’t drink diet soda. People who drank two or more diet sodas a day had waist increases five times bigger than those who didn’t drink diet sodas!
Along with weight gain, diet sodas are also linked to an increase risk for diabetes, heart attack and stroke.
So if you want to be lose weight and be healthier, try a glass of water instead. As experts say “the natural choice for hydration is water. Water hydrates better than any other liquid.”
To help you drink more of that inexpensive, natural and good for you plain H2O, try getting the bubbly kind and adding a packet or two of all natural, no-calorie True Lemon, True Lime, True Orange or new True Grapefruit. Because True Citrus products improve the taste of water, they are proven to help people drink more, leading to weight loss.
So just say no to soda -- diet or regular. Making sodas a once in a while treat instead of a daily habit can mean a BIG difference to your weight and to your waistline!
